December 15, 2011

Duncan BC | Henry Locke has been playing guitar since he was six years old. His first attempt at songwriting came at the age of nine when he reworked the lyrics of Anne Murray’s ‘Snow Bird.’ Since then Henry has played with various bands, including: Split Second, UROK2, Foul Play, The Workin’ Stiffs, Third Rock and JC Freeway. In 2002, he recorded and co-produced his first CD ‘Edge of a Dream.’ Henry also appeared on ‘Original Sin’ – Third Rock’s 2010 album.

“I have one song named ‘Heroes of the West‘ which is a true story about fire fighters. I owned property in Kelowna, BC back in 2003… much of the town was destroyed by a forest fire. The neighbourhood that I lived in would have certainly burned if not for the heroics of the firefighters. It’s a rock song that sounds a lot like ZZ Top.. or.. Bon Jovi.. I’ve always wanted to have this song reach as many firefighters’ ears as possible because I’m grateful and I always give to their volunteer projects here on Vancouver Island.”

“Heroes of the West” has been selected to be included on a special music compilation CD for Vents Magazine. The INFEST compilation CD will feature independent artists of all genres and will be available for digital download on the Vents Magazine website.
