New South Wales | Flood evacuation order for Biniguy

As a result of ongoing heavy rainfall and river flooding, the State Emergency Service orders that residents within Biniguy are to be evacuated. This evacuation will be by helicopters.

Residents should monitor the situation by listening to ABC radio station and be prepared to be evacuated. Evacuation centres will be established at Moree where you can obtain temporary accommodation and other help.

As you evacuate you should:

  • Take your important documents, mementos and photos
  • Take your Emergency Kit, spare clothing and medicines
  • If possible, check to see if your neighbours need help
  • Turn off the electricity and gas at the mains before you leave and turn off and secure any gas bottles
  • Take you pets with you
  • Don’t walk ride or drive through floodwater
  • Keep listening to your local radio station for updates
  • Follow your Home or Business FloodSafe plan
  • Follow all instructions given to you by emergency services
